Using a high energy density laser beam to heat the material, the heated material rapidly reaches its boiling point and the material vaporizes, forming vapors. Laser oxygen cutting is mainly used for carbon steel, titanium steel and heat-treated steel and other metal materials that are susceptible to oxidation.

  1.  Laser cutting kerf is thin and narrow, the two sides of the cut are parallel and perpendicular to the surface, and the dimensional accuracy of the cut parts can reach ±0.05mm.
  2. The cut surface is smooth and beautiful, and the surface roughness is only a few tens of microns, even laser cutting can be used as the last process without mechanical processing, and the parts can be used directly.
  3. After processing the laser cutting, the width of the heat-affected zone is very small, the properties of the material near the cut are almost unaffected, the deformation of the parts is small, the cutting accuracy is high, the geometry of the cut is good, and the cross-sectional shape of the cut presents a more regular rectangle.

Normally the laser cutting machine is equipped with multiple CNC control platforms, and the whole cutting process can all be realized by CNC. When operating, just change the CNC program, it can be applied to the cutting of different shape parts, which can be both two-dimensional cutting and three-dimensional cutting. The laser cutting is fast, take a 1200W laser cutting machine for example, the cutting speed can reach 600cm/min for a 2mm thick mild steel plate, and 1200cm/min for a 5mm thick polypropylene resin plate. The material does not need to be fixed by clamping when laser cutting, which can save both the fixture and the auxiliary time for loading and unloading.
