Industrial control chassis

In the field of industrial automation control, industrial control chassis is widely used. The industrial control chassis is an integrated chassis formed by combining industrial computers, controllers and peripheral devices, which can meet the requirements of harsh working conditions such as high temperature, low temperature, vibration, and humidity in industrial environments.

The main body of the chassis is made of high-quality aluminum-copper alloy material, which is made through precise sheet metal processing technology, and the main consideration is heat dissipation. Because it is made of mixed extrusion of copper and aluminum, the heat dissipation performance is quite good, and even some high-end CPU water cooling fans use this material. If it is for military use, it must be firm first, and the superhard aluminum alloy of aluminum, zinc, magnesium, and copper is the first choice.

The size of the industrial computer chassis mainly includes two aspects, height and length:

  • Height

Generally, it is measured in units of U. The height of 1U is 44mm, the height of 2U is 88cm, and so on. Generally, there are multiple specifications such as 1U-8U.

  • Length

Standard industrial control case lengths mainly include 450mm and 505mm. According to the specific requirements of customers, other lengths can be expanded, such as 480mm, 500mm, 52mm, 530mm, 600mm, etc.

Generally, the length of the mainstream industrial control chassis is in the range of 450-520mm. The extended industrial control chassis is mainly to install a dual-CPU motherboard or provide expansion space. If a large cooling space is required, an extended industrial control chassis can also be used.

Project Challenges

In an industrial environment, the chassis needs to be considered in many aspects: dustproof, shockproof, corrosion-resistant, waterproof, anti-electromagnetic interference, heat dissipation, etc. These requirements need to be considered in the design and manufacturing process of the product, which is an important task for engineers. important challenge. In addition, due to the variety of industrial control application scenarios, how to provide personalized customization services is also a difficult problem.
